Daily NASA news. The latest headlines from NASA science — astronomy, planets and the Sun — with a short summary and a link, translated to Dutch.
Earth today. A fresh full-disk photo of Earth from NASA's EPIC camera aboard DSCOVR, a companion to the Astronomy Picture of the Day.
Space weather. When the Sun throws a strong flare or a geomagnetic storm is underway, a chip in tonight's strip says so — the same activity that drives the aurora.
ISS fly-overs. When the International Space Station makes a visible pass over your location tonight, a chip tells you the time to look up.

A card for every block. Beyond the moon, you can now share tonight's sky map, the visible planets, the sun & moon times and the upcoming phases — each as its own poster, downloaded or shared straight from your phone.
Hidden until you want them. A button in the header reveals the little share icons; they stay out of the way by default.
The sky card shows what you see. It mirrors the moment you've scrubbed to — or tonight's sky if you haven't — so a daytime share still shows a real, visible sky.

Videos play inline. When NASA's picture of the day is a video clip, it now plays on the page instead of disappearing.

Sky tonight. A chart of where the Sun, Moon, visible planets and brightest stars sit above your horizon.
Scrub the night. Drag the time slider from dusk to dawn to watch everything rise and set; Now snaps back.
Living sky. The colour scheme that drifts through dawn, day, dusk and night is now on by default.

NASA photo in Dutch. The picture-of-the-day title and description are translated automatically on the Dutch page.
Works offline. The app caches its shell, so it opens instantly and keeps working with no connection.
Steadier NASA photo. It retries when NASA is slow and falls back to the last good image.
A more alive interface. Loading shimmers, counting numbers, a sticky phase bar, pull-to-refresh, and a unified icon set.

Full moon names. Every full moon shows its traditional name — Wolf, Snow, Pink, Harvest and the rest — on the page and in the feed.
Supermoon & micromoon. Full moons near perigee and apogee are tagged on the page and in the .ics events.
Moon distance & day length. The current Earth–Moon distance and today's daylight, each with their daily change.
Shareable moon card. A poster of tonight's phase, illumination, date and distance — shared on mobile, downloaded as PNG on desktop.
Precise location. Reverse-geocodes your GPS to your actual town instead of snapping to the timezone's capital.

Location-aware calendar. The /phases.ics feed gained eclipses, solstices, meteor showers and local sun/golden-hour events, in NL, EN or both.
Aurora & meteor chips. Tonight's strip shows a live aurora chance and the next meteor-shower peak.

Moon phase, live. Phase, illumination and age, with a hand-drawn moon and an optional real NASA imagery toggle.
Sun & moon times. Rise and set, plus dawn, dusk, blue hour and golden hour.
Visible planets & coming up. Which planets are up tonight, plus upcoming phases, eclipses and seasonal turning points.
Weather, NASA APOD & bilingual. Local forecast, the Astronomy Picture of the Day, and full Dutch / English.
