Full moon names, supermoons & a shareable card
- Full moon names. Every full moon now shows its traditional name — Wolf, Snow, Worm, Pink, Flower, Strawberry, Buck, Sturgeon, Harvest, Hunter's, Beaver and Cold Moon — both on the page and in the calendar feed.
- Supermoon & micromoon. Full moons near perigee are tagged Supermoon (up to ~14% bigger, ~30% brighter) and those near apogee Micromoon, in the page and the
.icsevents. - Moon distance. The moon-now card shows the current Earth–Moon distance with how much it changed since yesterday (±km).
- Day length. A new row shows today's daylight with the daily change (e.g. +2m 14s) versus yesterday.
- Shareable moon card. A “Share this moon” button renders a poster of tonight's phase, illumination, date and distance — shared via your device on mobile, downloaded as a PNG on desktop.
- Precise location. The app now asks for precise GPS and reverse-geocodes it to your actual town — no more silently snapping to the timezone's capital city.
- Zodiac, simplified. The zodiac card now shows just the element.

Notifications & a smarter calendar
- Push notifications. Opt-in web-push alerts ~24h before notable events — phases, eclipses, meteor peaks and aurora (Kp ≥ 5). (Currently paused.)
- Location-aware calendar. The subscribable
/phases.icsfeed gained eclipses, solstices & equinoxes, meteor showers, and local sun/golden-hour events, in NL, EN or both. - Aurora & meteor chips. Tonight's strip surfaces a live aurora chance (NOAA Kp) and the next meteor-shower peak.
